Rush Limbaugh allegedly a junkie

"Talk-radio titan Rush Limbaugh is being investigated for allegedly buying thousands of addictive painkillers from a black-market drug ring. The moralizing motormouth was turned in by his former housekeeper -- who says she was Limbaugh's pill supplier for four years. Wilma Cline, 42, says Limbaugh was hooked on the potent prescription drugs OxyContin, Lorcet and hydrocodone -- and went through detox twice. 'There were times when I worried,' Cline told the National Enquirer, which broke the story in an edition being published today. 'All these pills are enough to kill an elephant -- never mind a man.'"

"Arnold Schwarzenegger has confessed to behaviour that 'offended people' after a newspaper reported that he sexually harassed women over a 25-year period. ... Six women accused the Republican candidate of sexual harassment between 1975 and 2000, in an article in Thursday's Los Angeles Times. They allege that he grabbed their breasts or buttocks, tried to take off a woman's bathing suit, and asked a woman if a particular sex act had been performed on her. ... Three of the women said he had grabbed their breasts, while a fourth said he placed his hand under her skirt on her buttock. A fifth woman says Mr Schwarzenegger tried to take off her bathing suit in a hotel elevator, while the last says he pulled her onto his lap and asked her about a particular sex act. ... Three of the women said they work in Hollywood and fear retaliation if they make their accusations publicly."

"At least 360 snipers under government command fired into a crowd of protesters, touching off a massacre 35 years ago that scarred a generation of Mexicans, according to once-secret government files... officials at the time said armed dissidents provoked the deadly confrontation on October 2, 1968 -- 10 days before the start of the Olympics hosted by Mexico -- by firing on police during a protest against Mexico's lack of democracy. Estimates on the number of people killed range from 38 to several hundred. ... there is evidence 38 people were killed at Tlatetlolco Plaza. Human rights groups have contended several hundred died, but government officials hid the bodies so an exact count was impossible. Government officials also seized photos of the carnage and ordered newspapers not to print photos of corpses."

Charges filed in football camp assrapings

"Prosecutors on Thursday charged three high school football players from New York with sodomizing and hazing younger teammates at a preseason training camp in northeastern Pennsylvania. The teens, students at Mepham High School in Bellmore, N.Y., face a long list of juvenile court charges, including five felonies: involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, kidnapping, aggravated assault, unlawful restraint and false imprisonment. CIA discovers Iraqi stockpiles of jack shit

However, David Kay said inspectors have found evidence of a biological weapons program. ... Kay said inspectors have found no weapons, but said he is not ready to say that there are no weapons to be found. ... Kay said evidence of a nuclear weapons program was the least solid. ... In a July report to Congress, Kay said investigators were making solid progress. He told reporters that investigators had uncovered useful documents about Iraq's WMD programs and was getting increased cooperation from Iraqis. 'I think the American people should be prepared for surprises,' Kay said in July. 'I think it's very likely that we will discover remarkable surprises in this enterprise.'" North Korea announces progress on atomic bombs

"North Korea raised the stakes in a nuclear standoff Thursday by saying for the first time it had processed fuel rods that could be used to make atomic bombs, but analysts said it was a pre-talks tactic. ... Washington has said the North could have one or two atom bombs. ... The reprocessing, if confirmed, would be a significant development in North Korea's nuclear program since the rods can provide plutonium to make fissile material and had been sealed under a 1994 agreement with the United States."

Cemetery director Bob Poe said an unidentified man said he had seen a woman without her clothes on videotaping herself. Poe said he drove to the location -- in the F section of the cemetery -- and tried to confront a woman in a gold PT Cruiser. 'She just drove away,' Poe said, adding that the woman, fully clothed when he saw her, appeared to be in her late 40s."
