A warped biathalon in Ohio: "A man on a bicycle who has shot at people in two suburbs appears to select his victims at random and has not tried to rob them, police said. Four people have been shot at in the last two weeks in Beachwood and Cleveland Heights... Knerik, 38, was walking from his house to a nearby gas station when he saw a man with a helmet riding a BMX-type bike, police said. Police said the suspect shot Lindsay Swiatkowski several times in the back Sunday in Beachwood as he walked home."

He had been driving through his fields with a contraption designed to pick up stones when a stone became caught in the equipment. Intellectual Property vs. the poor

For a century, the United States did not respect the copyrights of other nations. But now that we have a massive investment in intellectual property, we're enforcing our vision of intellectual property law on the poorer countries of the world. Organizations such as WTO imposes a "comply or else" regime on these countries which end up having very few ways to fight back, one of which is compulsory licensing. It sucks to be a poor nation now.
