Daniel Pearl Death Video
Daily Rotten | Submitted by: Rotten Staff
A video depicting Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl's captivity and execution became known last month. Since then Daily Rotten has received hundreds of requests for the video from our readers. The video was apperantly produced as propaganda by the kidnappers, who call themselves the National Movement for the Restoration of Pakistan Sovereignty (NMRPS). Excerpts of the video have appeared on CBS, and in recent days the full video has surfaced on the Internet. After careful consideration, we have decided to abide by our audience's wishes and present the video.

Commentator Charley Reese uses the old "she was asking for it" rape excuse, except in reference to the young men sexually abused by the members of the clergy. "He shows up in DKNY and a new haircut . . . now who WOULDN'T think it was a come on?"

It's not a tumor, it's the Voice of Wisdom
Globe and Mail | Submitted by: Ann Onymous
Dr. Northrup says menopause rewires a woman's brain to make you more intuitive. She also says that your symptoms are not just physical in nature. Often they contain a message about your life. "We are attracting precisely the illness or problem that best facilitates access to our inner wisdom," she explains. In her case, it was a fibroid. "I was trying to understand what my fibroid was trying to teach me," she writes. She discovered that the meaning of her fibroid was that her husband didn't understand her, and it was telling her to ditch him.

One more reason to eat dog
Globe and Mail | Submitted by: Ann Onymous
Looks like the Korean dog-meat industry may just get a boost after all: foot-and-mouth disease has broken out among pigs in that country. Hundreds of animals had to be culled to prevent the spread of the highly infectious weight-reducing illness. Poshintang, anyone?

Who says Indiana's Boring?
Cleveland Plain Dealer | Submitted by: george_lazenby
"They say their houses crack and vibrate from the same mysterious force that drives spikes of pain through their eyes and ears, bones and joints; churns their guts in bouts of diarrhea and nausea; robs them of sleep and nearly their sanity; wakens their children in the middle of the night with bloody noses."

Pym Fortuyn: Man-Boy Whoopie Advocate
The Scotsman | Submitted by: george_lazenby
"The problem with Pim Fortuyn was that he never grew up. In his mind he stayed a little boy. A lot of Dutch men recognised that. That's what made him so popular, among other things. It's a pity that we no longer have the opportunity to challenge him about these views. He did not seem willing to recognise that a child will be harmed by sex with an adult."

The tow truck code of Justice
Wire Services | Submitted by: Son of Benway
"About 500 people, nearly all men, gathered before dawn in a gritty south Tehran district. Some women and children watched from rooftops and nibbled freshly baked bread. Riot police circled the tow truck. Its crane was lowered and the rope was tied to a hook. A prison warden tugged hard twice to test it... They took no chances. He had escaped from custody at least four times."

Evading the cops ROCKS
AZ Central | Submitted by: anonymous
The driver of a pickup truck led police on a nearly one-hour chase this morning that played out on Valley television. While this might be an everyday occurance, what isn't commonplace is when the fugitive "stopped or slowed down along the way and attempted to bum cigarettes from pedestrians or other motorists." Plus the accompanying photo is priceless.
