Monorail joyride at Newark Airport

An utter lack of security allowed a passenger to take control of a Newark Int'l Airport monorail. After flipping open an unlocked control panel, Robert Mathews piloted the AirTrain between the Parking Lot E and Rail Link stations. Upon arrest, Mathews was asked if he belonged to any terrorist organizations. At which point he should have shouted "FREE THE MONORAILS!"

DC Cops getting automatic tickets

When a DC cop gets a ticket for speeding or running a red light sent to him by the automatic camera system, he has to pay the fine. Even if the ticket occurred during emergency business, unless they go through great efforts of justifying their actions. So a lot of cops are now waiting at red lights, and not speeding, even when emergency beckons. But the real question is, why does the American public put up with surveillance ticketing?

"This a list of the 93 identified detainees charged by the US government in connection with the terrorism investigation. Another 11 persons also charged have not been publicly identified. The 104 are among some 548 persons apprehended and detained; the other 444 detained have not been identified. All persons listed are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Military tribunal is not a court of law."
